Paul Pearce, PhD, has been the President and Clinical Laboratory Director for Nova Biologicals since 1993. He credits his passion for microbiology and clinical pathology for pivoting him to success in his field. He’s won numerous awards and commendations and has built a solid reputation both in academia and the medical field. His achievements were recently recognized in Marquis Who’s Who.

Dr. Pearce obtained a Ph.D. from the University of North Texas, a Master of Science from the University of Arkansas, and a Bachelor of Science from Sam Houston State University. Dr. Pearce was a laboratory instructor at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, as a specialist in microbiology at the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, and as an assistant professor of pathology at the Baylor College of Medicine. He also provided his research expertise as a mold assessment consultant with the Texas Department of Health Services and as an academic advisor at Conroe Independent School District.
He was certified to practice as a testing and quality control solutions provider by the International Trade Council in 2015. In addition, Dr. Pearce was employed as president of the Clinical Laboratory Management Association of the Greater Houston Chapter. His expertise in clinical pathology provided valuable guidance for those in the industry.
Dr. Pearce served his community as a board member of the Conroe/Lake Conroe Chamber of Commerce and was appointed by Governor Rick Perry to act as a member of Texas’ Critical Infrastructure and Key Resource Protection Council. He was honored for his contributions to his industry with an Exceptional Service in the Public Interest Award by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
His accomplishments are too numerous to name, both in the field of microbiology and in his personal pursuits. Besides his professional endeavors, he also won numerous awards as a competitive racquetball player, including a gold medal from the United States Racquetball Association Championships! He is an upstanding member of the community and a devoted public servant. He has set the standard for other laboratories to follow.
