DIRECT
ACCESS TESTING

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q Why is Direct Access Testing being offered?
A People are taking more responsibility for the maintenance of their own health. Nova provides a simple and convenient way for interested consumers to obtain laboratory testing.

Q Do I need a doctor's visit?
A No. This is a simple, convenient, and confidential way of getting laboratory test results without an appointment or visit to a doctor's office.

Q How much does it cost?
A Fees are listed in our Direct Access Testing brochure, at our office, or by linking below to our TEST MENU page.

Q Will my insurance pay for this testing?
A No. Because these tests are not ordered by a physician, Insurances routinely do not cover these tests. You may pay by cash, check, or credit card.

Q Where do I go?
A You can have your blood sample taken at Nova, 1775 E. Loop 336, Suite 3 in Conroe, Texas.

Q How will I receive my results?
A You can have your results mailed to you or you can pick them up at our office. Results are kept totally confidential.

Q When will I receive results?
A Most results are available in two to five days

Q Will the lab interpret results for me?
A No. Reference (normal) ranges are provided to help interpret your results. However, normal results do not ensure health and abnormal results may not indicate disease. If you have a test result that is not within the reference range, or if you are not feeling well, Nova recommends that you see a doctor.

Q Who do I call with other questions about the program?
A You may call Nova Client Services at (936) 756-5333.
